First tooth alert

Yep, you guessed it! Eli has his first tooth. Well, okay, he's in the process of getting his first tooth, as of this morning. The right front tooth on the bottom. The first tooth that Cosette got! Only Eli is about a month ahead of where Cosette was. There now, aren't you all just as excited as can be? ;)

Thank God for Grandparents!

These pictures are from a recent trip that we took to see Joel's grandparents. Cosette loved swinging in the swing in their back yard and playing with all of their fun toys! Elias refused to look my way when I took this picture, but it's still pretty sweet, don't you think?

Zoo trip

Well, we did it. We went to the zoo again right around labor day, and it was packed! Strollers and little kids everywhere! But, it was worth it. Cosette had a blast. She made tiger noises, 'flew' like a bird, watched the seals being fed, got eye to eye with a big ape ( or monkey, or whatever it was), and blew kisses to the elephants. Elias, however, was not that fond of the zoo, and decided to take a nap in the stroller instead :) Oh, and the best part of the trip for Joel and I was that we found a Cheesecake Factory in DC. If you ever have a chance to visit one, try the chocolate pecan turtle cheesecake. I think it's good enough to even make Oscar the Grouch smile! :)

Success at last! My computer is cooperating again! (Is 'cooperating' supposed to have a little dash thingy in it? I can never remember :) I resisted the urge to download all of my recent photos, and decided to just share these two :) They look like nice restful photos, don't they? The one with just Elias demonstrates his new ability to 'scoot'. We lay him down on a nice soft blanket, and he promptly scoots himself off of it and onto the scratchy carpet. Seems to be what he prefers. Silly boy! I guess he figures he has to learn how to get around soon so he can keep up with his big sister! The other picture is just a sweet moment between Father and son. Can't you see where Eli gets his good looks? :) Something funny about Cosette is that she is learning new ways of delaying going to bed. For a few nights, she had been asking me to rub her back after we tucked her in. Then, she started asking me to rub her back and her belly. Then, two nights ago, she wanted me to rub her back, her belly, and her elbow. That's when I said 'Enough! Your Mommy is smarter than that!' I guess she'll have to think of a new plan :)
