Okay, how many of you have ever felt like throwing your computer in the trash can and just going out and buying a new one? I've have tried twice now to download some photos onto this blog page, and my computer seems to be having a mind of it's own.........it's thrown me off twice! I think it may be time for a new computer, or DSL.....or maybe both? Nothing else much new going on around here, except that Eli can now roll over BOTH ways, which he enjoys doing, and Cosette is slowly adding new words to her vocabulary, like 'mato (tomato), and aha!, which she says with great delight. I am feeling much better now after a few weeks of feeling not so nice (read last blog entry). And, if I don't give up and throw my computer in the trash today, maybe I'll try again later to download some pictures.

Don't worry, the Curtis family is still alive. I know, I haven't updated my page in like two weeks or something. I was having a little battle with a kidney stone and pain medications this past week....okay, a BIG battle, but I think I've finally won :) Anyway, I'm feeling alot better now, and I'm finally able to catch up on some stuff that I've been ignoring during my sickness (like my blog page). I do have some cute pictures from the past little bit, and as soon as I have more time, I'll post them. So anyway, just wanted to let everybody know we're still here, and keep checking back for some photos :)

Don't worry, I don't plan on up-dating you every time Cosette learns a new word, but this one was just too cute to pass up! The word is 'Dood-bye' (Good-bye) And, once again, she said it for the first time to Aunt Kristin. Now, she says it to everybody-- the cars going up and down the road, her stuffed animals, the lady at the check-out counter, etc, etc. If you come to visit us, Cosette will bid you farewell as you put your shoes on, as you walk out the front door, as you walk down the steps and along the sidewalk, and as you close your car door and pull out. And then, you won't know it, but as you drive down the road she will still be waving and saying 'Dood-bye!' We have to really work to convince her then that you are really gone, and she can stop saying 'Dood-bye'! Now really, somebody show me something more heart-warming than a toddler learning to talk, and I will be very surprised!

Okaaaaay.....so maybe taking a picture of yourself and two kids while laying on the floor is not as easy as I thought it might be. Oh well. Joel was kidding me the other day and saying that I only had pictures of him and the kids up here-- none of me. So there you go. Maybe I'll get him to take a nicer picture sometime :) I was just impressed with myself that I got everybody in the shot :) I took both kids with me into Burger King today. They were very well behaved, but just about everybody I passed looked at me like- "What a crazy lady! One toddler and a baby by herself in Burger King?" I enjoy giving people interesting stories to talk about over dinner:) Cosette didn't like the pickles on her cheeseburger, so she gave them to me. Then, she decided she wanted to try one. So she took a bite out of it, slobbered on it some, and decided that she definitely didn't like it. Soooo, she put it on my sandwich again. Yummm, lucky Mommy!

Okay, so our camera batteries are working again, and I'm back to taking pictures of my favorite subject.. my kids :) The one on the top left is a sweet moment between brother and sister...don't worry, we didn't let her squish him :) The next is of Cosette brushing her teeth and her baby's. In the next picture, Elias has found the perfect way to spend a hot Monday afternoon. The last picture is of Cosette demonstrating a new fashion in footwear---I hear it's going to be all the rage this fall :) By the way, does anybody have any good suggestions for a Children's Bible for an almost two year old? The Bibles we have for Cosette now are either too childish or too 'grown-up'- we'd like something 'in-between'. Any recommendations would be appreciated :)
